Residential/Supported Living

At NCDC, we understand that each individual has unique needs and preferences, which is why we meticulously tailor every aspect of our residential services to suit our clients. Our commitment to excellence is evident in our efforts to ensure continuity of care, facilitated by a team of professionally trained staff who are equipped to address and meet the diverse needs of our clients.
Our resident programs are designed with a deep understanding of the importance of a supportive and nurturing environment. We aim to provide more than just accommodation; we offer a community where residents can thrive, feel valued, and are encouraged to engage in activities that promote personal growth and well-being.

Residential Living Arrangements
Our goal is to provide services in a home environment that suits each person’s personal and financial situation.
These living arrangements are based on personal prefinances and available program resources. NCDC of OK has single placements as well as roommate situations that may have from two to four roommates.
The primary goal of residential assisted living is to promote independence and quality of life while ensuring the safety and well-being of residents.

Community Living
Houses, duplexes and apartments are leased for eligible persons who receive community services authorized through DHS/DDS.

Individualized Care
NCDC of OK believes in the importance of personal choice and opportunities that are connected to each person served. Each home is staffed according to the Plan of Care established by the team process. This can be a few hours a week, up to twenty-four hours daily.

Living Vibrantly
We encourage personalization of the home environment so that it reflects personal preference, along with opportunities to be active in their community, including jobs, shopping, movies, festivals, church and many more events.
In-Home Living Arrangements
In-Home Living Arrangements are unique in the fact the eligible persons receiving services through DHS/DDS can stay in their family home in most situations. Oftentimes it is a family member who serves as the staff.
They can also choose to have unrelated trained staff to provide the service. There is a cap to the number of authorized hours that can be provided. In-home services are a great option for the service recipient who chooses to stay in the family home.
NCDC provides the same support to in-home support homes as they do Residential Living homes by:

Vocational Services
Our Goal
NCDC of OK Vocational believes everyone can achieve job satisfaction with the right skills and employment opportunities. Our goal is to permanently place every applicant in a position that works for their skills, abilities, and goals, as well as provide a qualified candidate to the employer for the long term.

NCDC of OK is dual contracted with The Department Of Rehabilitation Services (DRS) to provide Employment services and Supported Employment services to individuals with special needs or challenges.
We are here to support you every step of the way!

Assessments
We are trained to assess knowledge and talents and determine what type of job interests our clients. With a determination of strengths and weaknesses, we can access a database of opportunities that fit specific skill sets.

Vocational Preparation
We will train our clients at our office to fill out an application, teach interview skills, set goals, and help build an effective resume. Using our in-house work-stations, we will work with individuals and provide readiness training to apply for the job of their choosing.

Job Placement
Once our clients have mastered the set of skills needed, we will actively look for and apply for jobs by their side. If support is required, a job coach will be on site to ensure our clients feel comfortable and confident in the job they have chosen.

Supported Employment/Retention
Job coaching will be available on-site at the client’s place of employment for the first week or longer until they can independently complete their job tasks.

Continued Support
If continued coaching is needed, a job coach can remain with the client and eventually diminish coaching time over a short-term period.
